Présentation des recherches
I am fundamentally fascinated by the relations between capitalism, democracy and European integration. Thus, my research deals with the politicization of EU integration in relation with socio-economic policies. I have been working more particularly on three clusters of topics.
First: market integration and marketisation in the EU: neoliberalism in EU policies, the rise and fall of "Social Europe", liberalisation and regulation of welfare services, responses to crisis of the Eurozone.
Second: the politicization of EU integration: the role of political contention in the EU, social movements and parliamentarism, the role of deliberation, ideas and discourse in the legitimation EU policies and the EU polity.
Third: the comparative politics of EU integration: in particular the role of social democracy and its europeanisation, national parties and in EU integration, French and German politics in particular.
